Today I started the process of doing my makeup, and then thought “It’s Sunday! Who cares what I look like!!!” hahaha.
I had to share this picture of Charlie napping on the bed, it was just so cute! Also how much do you love that cushion, I’m all about that Fall Life right now!
I also had these flowers that had died but, it was almost like rather than wilting they just dried out, so a bouquet of dry dead flowers was 100% Instagram worthy lol.
This picture 100% sums up Louis’ personality, he is so sweet, and loving, and goofy, and always has that tongue hanging out, I just love this big baby so much!
Today we were told by our HOA that we had to remove our bushes and trees as they had grown too tall and were now in violation of the HOA rules. I was so bummed at first, and not because I like the plants I didn’t lol, it was because we were being told we HAD to do something, and something that we own, I can tell you right now we will not be moving to another HOA any time soon 😉
Today I went in to get my hair done, I had planned to go for a much darker blonde, but my stylist recommended I wait until I have to go back in in December before deciding. I have been working on this process since April of this year and she didn’t want me to change it and then regret it, which I didn’t want that either. This extra time will give me lots of thinking time to decide what I really want.
Honestly, the moment Louis sees me this is his instant reaction. I’m not sure how I became the official belly scratcher, but somehow I now am, and this is how I spend my evenings lol!
This is the Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore, it’s about a 2 hour drive from my house, but 100% worth the trip, it’s so quiet and beautiful and makes me think about the old Hawaii, the one before we over crowded it, and built massive highways through it’s most beautiful jungles. If you ever make it to Oahu head to Turtle Bay, it will give you the most “True Hawaii” experience.
That is everything we got up to this week, but I did want to share something pretty exciting that happened, that was shared on Instagram, Don and I have decided to move!!!! While we love being in Hawaii and being able to enjoy a tropical island everyday, we also miss having family around, we miss being able to go to a concert or play, as we get none of those here. We miss saying “lets take a trip to Vegas!!” and being there in an hour, and most of all I miss being able to feel free. The biggest downside of Hawaii is the major housing crisis we are experiencing, and while I am so incredibly fortunate to have a beautiful condo that we have put a lot of time and energy into, I want to grow trees without someone telling me they are too tall and have to be removed. I want to grow a vegetable garden without my neighbors stealing the vegetables before I can get to that, and I want to be able to have a yard where the dogs can run around off leash, thats something they have never experienced before.
We don’t have an exact move date as we first have a few months of blood work to do with the dogs before we can take them off island, and while I pretty set on move in the Spring, Don is already trying to push it to Summer, which isn’t gonna happen hahaha. I am so excited to share this next part of my journey with you all!
