Current Haircare Favorites

Early this year I went blonde, which meant really taking the time to pay attention to what my hair needed, and when it needed it. Which is why I decided to post a haircare favorites for you, the amount of products in this post my scare you a bit, but if you don’t have blonde hair you will be able to remove an entire set of items, if you do have blonde hair make sure your paying attention!!

Joico K-Pak Shampoo & Conditioner

I purchased this shampoo and conditioner after seeing Anna Saccone rave about it in a video, I have to say I love everything about this set, it makes your hair soft, shiny, and hydrated, however I don’t care for the scent of it, thank goodness the scent doesn’t last long.

Joico K-Pak Hair Mask

This was bought at the same time as the shampoo & conditioner and this mask is crazy hydrating, I love it so much. In the video of this post I opened the lid to show you how thick it is, and it’s literally so thick you could hold it upside down and it wouldn’t come out. I have been using this once a week and seriously love it.

Revlon UniqOne Coconut Hair Treatment

I use this every time I get out of the shower with freshly washed hair, its one of those all in one detangles, and it smells so good. The first time I bought it I got it from the hair salon, and it was around $18, when I started to run low I found it on Amazon for $10 and have ordered it from there ever since.

L’ Oreal Elnet Satin HairSpray

This hairspray is crazy expensive for a drugstore hairspray, having said that it is the only hairspray that will actually hold my hair in this heat, humidity, and wind that we have here in Hawaii. It smells nice and it doesn’t make your hair feel crunchy like a lot of other hairsprays.

Garnier Fructis Style Root Booster (discontinued but found something similar)

Unfortunately this root booster is discontinued, but I did link to another one for you. I use this 1-2 times a week as I do have fine hair so I do need a bit of help.

CatWalk Fashionista Conditioner

The CatWalk range is an old favorite of mine, so this year when I went blonde my stylist reccamended the Fashionista Shampoo and Conditioner, this is the best toning set for blonde hair, but don’t leave it on too long as it can seriously tone the crap out of your hair, and you may end up much lighter than you wanted.

I have been using the PhytoElixir for years, I usually do it every 1-2 weeks, you just add it into your hair, let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse. The whole Phyto line in my opinion is really amazing.

This oil smells amazing and makes your hair look so shiny, I use this in the morning after I have styled my hair, and it never ceases to amaze me what a difference it makes to my hair. I do have 2 complaints, the first being that this is a very heavy glass bottle, I did knock it off the counter with the blowdryer and it broke all over the floor. My second complaint is that it doesn’t come with a pump, so you can sometimes use a bit too much.

TRESemme Heat Protectant

I have used this heat protectant for years as well, I know that the UniqOne says it has a heat protectant in it, but I like to make sure that I have my bases covered so anytime I get ready to curl or flat iron my hair I spray this in my hair and then brush it through to distribute it throughout my hair.

Moroccan Oil

I love the Moroccan oil and I use it every night before bed, I love that it comes with a pump as I only use 1/2 pump, but it also smells amazing and it really helps my dry ends!

CatWalk Your Highness Conditioner

This conditioner is a normal conditioner (not purple) so its perfect for anyone, it smells really nice, and it’s really hydrating.

Phyto 7 Hydrating Day Cream

I use the Day Cream every time I wash my hair, I apply it just before drying my hair, I really feel like this makes a huge difference in the health of my hair, it looks shiny, its soft, hydrated, and after the crazy process of going blonde I feel like really showing my hair some love is super important.

CatWalk Fashionista Shampoo

This one is for all my blondes out there, this is the best purple shampoo on the market, it isn’t overpriced and if you apply this once per week and leave it in for 3-20 minutes (depending on how light you want to go), it will tone your hair, it also smells amazing, and when I say amazing I mean this is the best smelling shampoo I have ever used!

HelloHair Hair Mask

Finally I have my favorite hair mask, this is an oil that you can leave on for 30 minutes or overnight, I always leave it overnight as it seriously hydrates your hair, helps to add more shine, and when you rinse it out you will feel like your walking out of the hair salon.

My favorite shampoo and conditioner of all time is the Bed Head Resurrection Damage Level 3, they smell so good, and it really does make your hair feel so soft and smooth and healthy, I couldn’t not use this!

I also take a few supplements everyday as the secret to good hair starts on the inside,  the first being the One A Day Prenatal Multi-Vitamin and DHA, I’m not pregnant but this was recommended to me by my doctor as our bodies don’t absorb the total amount of the vitamins we take, also I have low iron levals, before starting any type of vitamins talk to your doctor and make sure they are right for you.
I also take the Sports Research Biotin made with Coconut Oil, I chose this one as its a high potency and having coconut oil in it really sold me.
I started the Ouai dry hair tablet but it was too hydrating so I switched to the thin as the only other option was oily.

I also take Vida Glow everyday in my orange juice, this is a collagen that comes from the scales of red snapper so it is not vegan, but it has been shown to help hair, nails, and skin.

That is my current haircare favorites, I would love to know what your favorite haircare products are. Also you can watch the video for this post here!
