Getting Those Steps In | My Meals Monday

One of my goals this week was to fully recommit to the Lucy Wyndham-Read 21 day challenge that I was unable to finish in January due to morning sickness, I feel like its been about 3 weeks since my D&C and I want to start working towards some goals that will help keep me in a more positive space, I also want to start working on getting more than 10,000 steps in per day, which is not as had as I imagined it would be!

One of the things I started to do was take Louis for his morning and evening walks but going a little bit further than normal, he loves exploring new places and I get a bit more time to listen to my audio book, I’m currently listening to Becoming by Michelle Obama and loving it! Then I started to expand on my cleaning routine, I would do my am routine and my pm routine, but rather than siting and folding laundry I would march in place while doing it, I also realized that by expanding my cleaning routine to include a extra things like unloading the dishwasher, wiping the bathrooms down every morning, not only did my house look amazing but I was getting so many extra steps! Who knew Hinching your home could have such an impact on your health!

I started my morning off with oatmeal, coffee, and water, my oatmeal is the Rude Health Super Fruity blend, I cook 1/2 a cup of oats with 1 1/4 cup of almond milk, with raisins, and cinnamon for extra flavor. My coffee is the Nespresso Vivalto Lungo.

As I’m working out more I need snacks in between my meals to keep me going through the day, this one is super easy it’s just sliced banana with peanut but, and it really does give you a boost to get you through until lunch!

I had left overs for lunch which I am 100% not complaining about! This is chicken piccata and it’s so yummy, I could eat this every day!

I am really trying to eat healthy so for my snack I skipped the chips and went for baby carrots and hummus, which is actually very similar in the texture depart as both carrots and chips are crunchy! I love buying these small hummus cups because I’m the only one that eats hummus and the bigger tubs would go bad before I could get through it, I also have a tendency to eat more hummus than carrots haha!

For dinner I had a Marie Calendars Pot Pie, which was really tasty but I regretted it the next morning as I woke up really bloated and sluggish, I think there’s a bit more salt in these than I’m used to and so I won’t be eating these anymore.

That is everything I ate today, if you want to watch the video for this post you can find it here, I show you exactly how I cook my breakfast and talk about getting those extra steps in!
