Today I decided to try an entire day of going vegan and thought it would be the perfect time to do a My Meals Monday post! I started off with a Starbucks latte, but this is made with Almond milk. I also had some oatmeal with strawberries, blueberries, banana, and more almond milk.
I was at Whole Foods yesterday and got this vegan quinoa with tomatoes, cilantro, and green onions. It was so good and really filling!
Whilst at Whole Foods the stocker there recommended this Beyond Meat “hamburger”, I loved this so much. It had a lot of flavor, didn’t taste bad at all, and I added vegan mayo, mustard, lettuce, and pickles. The only thing I didn’t like was the vegan bread, I think I will try a different brand as the crust on this was so hard, it was like trying to chew cardboard.
I made a little salad with the leftover quinoa from this morning, lettuce, cucumber, and added in my favorite Wafu dressing!
I know there is a bit of debate on whether or not Oreos are considered vegan as the possibility of them coming into contact with milk is possible due to them being made in a factory that uses dairy on other items. Knowing all of that I still ate 4 thin Oreos in Mint flavor. I also had a small glass of almond milk with them.
I like to end the evening with a TeaPigs peppermint and licorice tea, it’s yummy and it helps me to relax before bedtime!
That was everything I ate today, having a full vegan day was not bad in anyway, I didn’t feel deprived at all, and I enjoyed all of my meals. I will say if your going to do this you want to be prepared, do some meal planning, go to the grocery store, and hide any naughty foods lol.
