I know I can’t be the only one thinking this but, HOW THE HELL IS IT AUGUST ALREADY????? I honestly feel like I blinked and half the year went by!!! However I will say I have stumbled upon some pretty amazing products this year so who am I to complain right?
The month of July has been an especially good month for me and my beauty collection, I’ve added some new items and brought back some old favorites, that I can’t wait to share with you guys.
The first new item in my collection is this Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look Beauty Glow Palette, this is quickly becoming one of my go to items, it not only has everything to create an amazing on the go glowing look, but the wearability of these products are amazing! I can now see why everyone raves about Charlotte Tilbury products!
I have recently decided to change up my “scent”, I’ve been wearing Clinique Happy since high school and Michael Kors Hollywood for almost 10 years now and I feel like it’s time for a change, so I purchased the Replica Lazy Sunday Morning rollerball from Sephora, and I love it. It smells lightly florally and clean and fresh.
I also added the Make Up For Ever Aqua Brow in the shade Ashe to my collection, and I honestly don’t know how I’ve been doing my brows without it. I will be honest and say it’s slightly thinner than a gel and the smallest amount goes a mile in a half lol, and there is a bit of a learning curve with this, but once you figure it out, it’s amazing. It can be used on sparse brows or even completely bare skin, and when you fill it in, it looks so real, it has completely blown my mind!
Probably the most exciting thing I added this month was the Kat Von D Shade & Light Palette I have been wanting this for so long, but as I have so many palettes I was feeling I might be over indulging, and then the little devil showed up on my shoulder and said “but can a girl really have too many counter palettes?” and I completely agree so I bought it lol. It is just as amazing as I thought it would be, and I love that it’s refillable, nothing it more frustrating than having a palette you love but not being able to replace one shade when you run out!
I also added two new foundations, the first is the Nars Sheer Glow, which is an oldie but a goodie, it’s one of the items I feel like everyone should have, it’s such a great foundation for days that you don’t want to go full coverage, and it’s also perfect for people with dry skin!
I also added the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, this is something so many beauty bloggers have raved over and I thought it might be over hyped, however there is a place for this in every collection, it is a great full coverage matte foundation, however unlike the double wear, it doesn’t feel like it’s sucking the moisture right out of your face.
Finally I have fallen in love with the Bath and BodyWorks body scrub again, I love that it’s a gritty enough scrub to feel like it’s actually exfoliating your skin, but it also doesn’t over exfoliate your body. Another amazing thing it it foams really well, and I actually shave my legs whilst this is on, so it’s kinda a two in one lol.
That is everything I have been loving this month, I would love if you left me your favorites in the comments below, and if you have a favorites blog post link to that as well, I would love to read it!
